Field Engineer / Construction Manager Howell, Michigan Insituform Technologies USA, LLC, an Azuria company, is seeking an experienced Field Engineer / Construction Manager to support and lead infrastructure rehabilitation projects throughout Michigan and the surrounding region.

Insituform is a leading worldwide provider of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and other innovative technologies used to rehabilitate aging sewer, water, energy, and mining pipeline systems. Our solutions help municipalities and utility owners renew critical infrastructure while avoiding the disruption and expense associated with traditional excavation and replacement methods.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer, Construction Manager, or Project Engineer looking to take ownership of projects, work closely with field operations, and play a key role in delivering complex municipal and utility construction projects.

Responsibilities As a Field Engineer / Construction Manager, you will be responsible for supporting projects from planning and mobilization through completion while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and financial objectives are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

Provide oversight and project support for production, safety, quality, and project management standards.

Lead pre-bid site visits, project startup activities, contract execution, and project closeout.

Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents to ensure successful project execution.

Partner with field crews and subcontractors to manage project costs, production rates, schedules, and profitability.

Track and analyze project financial performance, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment costs.

Prepare, submit, and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.

Coordinate project schedules, resources, and procurement activities.

Develop scopes of work and assist with subcontractor selection and management.

Attend and lead pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and customer project reviews.

Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal customers, consulting engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.

Minimum of 3-7 years of construction management, field engineering, project engineering, or heavy civil construction experience.

Experience managing municipal, water/wastewater, utility, pipeline, underground construction, or infrastructure projects strongly preferred.

Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Strong understanding of construction scheduling, project controls, budgeting, and cost management.

Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.

Knowledge of job costing, forecasting, and financial reporting principles.

Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, contractors, and project teams.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience with Primavera P6, JD Edwards, Bluebeam, or similar construction/project management software is preferred.

PE license or EIT certification is a plus but not required.
