Customer Service Support Specialist

Duration

13-Week Contract- with Possible Extension

Up to $21 per hour

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Respond to member inquiries via telephone, mail, and in-person interactions
• Research, investigate, and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and appeals in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Educate current and prospective members regarding healthcare plans, benefits, coverage provisions, and product offerings
• Document all customer interactions accurately and maintain detailed records
• Monitor and manage outstanding cases to ensure timely follow-up and resolution
• Collaborate with internal departments and healthcare providers to address member concerns and service issues
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
• Identify trends and recommend process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and service delivery
• Support enrollment periods, outreach initiatives, departmental projects, and other organizational objectives

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Customer Service or Call Center experience within the last 3 year
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skill
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer-based system
• Understanding of healthcare insurance products, including HMO, PPO, and POS plans, as well as claims and billing processes
• Associate Degree required; however, 4+ years of related customer service experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
