St. Joseph School in Howell is seeking a part-time Preschool Aide to join our team for the school year.
St. Joseph is a faith-filled PreK-8th grade Catholic School. Founded in 1940, it is a fixture in the Howell community. We seek a candidate who, with a heart on fire for the Lord, will bring joyful positivity, enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to growing spirit-filled disciples of Jesus Christ.

General SummaryThe teacher’s aide provides support for the instructional program including but not limited to: assistance with student supervision, classroom preparation, and clerical help. The teacher’s aide will assist the lead teacher in promoting emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual growth for our students. St. Joseph School follows the State of Michigan licensing requirements.
The position is part-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am – 1:00 pm. Candidates must be at least 19 years old with a high school diploma, preferably with childcare experience and must be someone who is dependable, responsible, team-oriented and have a passion for working with children of all developmental levels. The desired candidate for the position is a practicing Catholic, actively involved in parish life.
Additional opportunities for work hours are available with our before and after school student care program.
The following general expectations for this role:
- Be a positive representative of the school and the faith community.
- Follow confidentiality requirements regarding children and families.
- Comply with the Diocese of Lansing Code of Conduct.
- Complete background check, CPR/First Aid Training, proper immunization, and medical requirements required, complete Virtus Protecting God’s Children certification, and any other training as required by State of Michigan Licensing.
