Howell, MI – On‑Site
The Sr. HSE Specialist is responsible for the design and implementation of programs that promote a proactive health & safety culture at the sites and ensure organizational compliance in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Facilitate root cause investigations for all reported health & safety concerns, verify implementation of appropriate corrective actions.
Sr. HSE Specialist Qualifications- Knowledge of federal, state, and other regulatory and standard requirements pertaining to occupational health & safety. Examples include, but are not limited to:
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA/MiOSHA), Process Safety Management standard, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001) - Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety related field is strongly preferred. Equivalent work experience with current professional certification(s) may be considered.
- 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical manufacturing is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in an HSE role.
- Experience with Process Safety Management and Process Hazard Analysis assessments strongly preferred.
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) preferred.
