Job Summary
Responsible for delegating work to Production Associates and monitoring productivity in the production area.
ResponsibilitiesOversee employees on a single assembly line. Responsible for running the assembly line efficiently, ensuring the delivery of quality products to customers, and communicating changes and procedures to all personnel. Build first kits (master samples) for jobs, assign assembly stations, instruct assemblers on proper component placement, and verify work orders are run correctly per PPPF (assembly and wrapping technique). Verify comprehensive paperwork for all lots daily, including DHR, inserts, carton labels, substitutions, deviations, Line Clearance Form, ECN’S, daily production report, cleaning logs, and on‑hold forms.
Verify that jobs are received with the correct components per work order BOM from warehouse. Assist in enforcing company policies and procedures, and maintain a clean, safe work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous production or manufacturing experience
- Basic computer knowledge
- Adherence to clean‑room procedures, including additional attire and personal hygiene
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Arithmetic skills: adding and subtracting two‑digit numbers; multiplying and dividing by 10’s and 100’s
- Willingness to stand 8 hours per day for up to 6 days a week
- Willingness to work in a closed‑sterile environment
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs
- Availability for daily overtime (2–3hours) on a regular basis, up to 6 days a week
- Previous line experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical device or drug company
- Proficient reading and writing in English and effective communication of instructions to line employees
- Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish)
- Ability to present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group settings to other employees
The anticipated salary range for this position is $19.75–$28.75 per hour. The actual salary will vary based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
