Job Summary
Responsible for delegating work to line assemblers and monitoring productivity in the production area.
Responsibilities- Oversee employees on a single assembly line.
- Run assembly line efficiently, delivering quality products to customers and communicating changes and procedures to all personnel on the line.
- Build first kits (master samples) for jobs, assign assembly stations, instruct assemblers on proper component placement, and verify that the work order is being run correctly per PPPF (assembly and wrapping technique).
- Verify paperwork for all lots daily (e.g., DHR, inserts, carton labels, substitutions, deviations) and ensure all applicable paperwork (Line Clearance Form, ECN'S, Daily production report, Cleaning logs, on-hold forms) is completed.
- Verify jobs are received with the correct components per the work order BOM from warehouse.
- Assist in enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Relevant work experience in production or manufacturing.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to follow clean room procedures, including additional attire and personal hygiene.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Numerical ability: adding and subtracting two-digit numbers and multiplying/dividing with 10's and 100's.
- Willingness to stand for 8 hours per day, up to 6 days a week.
- Willingness to work in a closed-sterile environment.
- Capability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ready to work daily overtime (2-3 hours) on a regular basis, up to 6 days a week.
- Previous line experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical device or drug company.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English and effectively communicating instructions to all employees on the line.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $19.75 – $28.75 per hour. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
Benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, and other benefits for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average. For employees working less than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions, paid time off, and access to the Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups, and the Employee Service Corp.
