Production Lumber Technician

We are searching for mechanically inclined individuals that enjoy working with their hands to join the team in Howell, MI as a Production Lumber Technician Associate.

1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday to Friday (Employees should arrive by 6:50 AM for the daily team meeting)

Starting Pay Rate: $19 hour

The Production Lumber Technician will work throughout the manufacturing facility assisting with the production of pocket door frames and pallets. Team members rotate between multiple workstations and are trained in various production functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort lumber by size and length using a tape measure
  • Operate a lumber scanning station and feed materials through the production line
  • Stack and organize lumber onto designated pallets
  • Build pallets using a nail gun and hand tools
  • Assist with assembly of pocket door frames in a team-oriented production environment
  • Operate simple machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Follow quality standards and production requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read a ruler/tape measure
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Reliable attendance and dependable transportation required
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or industrial experience preferred but not required
