Adecco has partnered with a local manufacturing company in Howell, MI seeking 1st shift MIG Welders. This is a full time, contract to hire opportunity with a company that prioritizes extensive expertise and a commitment to reliability to solve problems and keep projects on track across industries such as healthcare, hospitality, education, and retail.

This position is responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components used in door and frame manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG welding, metal fabrication, blueprint reading, and maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG welding on steel, aluminum, and other metal components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to fabricate products accurately.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and related fabrication tools.
  • Cut, grind, fit, and prepare materials for welding and assembly.
  • Inspect finished welds to ensure quality, strength, and appearance standards are met.
  • Perform measurements and quality checks using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other inspection tools.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Assist with general fabrication, assembly, and production activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, drill presses, and measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
