Manufacturing Engineer
Greater Howell, Michigan Area
We are partnering with a growing automotive manufacturing organization seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support machining operations, process optimization, and new program launches within a high-volume production environment.
This is a hands-on engineering role with strong exposure to CNC machining, process development, APQP activities, tooling coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Support and optimize machining/manufacturing processes
- Lead and support new program launches
- Develop and maintain FMEA and Control Plans
- Troubleshoot production and process-related issues
- Coordinate with tooling, quality, suppliers, and operations teams
- Support continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives
- Assist with process documentation and production planning
- 3–5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within CNC machining
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and GD&T
- Experience with APQP/core quality tools
- Familiarity with M & G code programming
- AutoCAD and/or Solid Works exposure preferred
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
