Machine Tool Electrician

Organization: Industrial machine manufacturer

Compensation: Starting at a rate of $32 per hour

Schedule: Available Monday through Friday, between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM

Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for the construction and adjustment of electronic and electrical systems within our production facility. Your daily tasks will involve wiring control panels, diagnosing electrical faults, assisting with final quality checks, and ensuring all project documentation is kept up to date.

Core Duties

• Analyze and utilize technical blueprints, schematics, and project orders to guide your work.
• Construct various electrical subassemblies, wiring systems, and integrated components.
• Install essential hardware including resistors, transformers, control units, and circuit breakers.
• Ensure cables are routed, labeled, crimped, and soldered to meet precise technical standards.
• Verify the functionality of electrical systems by testing, adjusting, and troubleshooting assemblies to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in the final evaluation of machinery to help maintain high quality standards and identify any missing parts.
• Promote a secure workplace by strictly adhering to lockout/tagout protocols, safety guidelines, and UL requirements.
• Keep your workstation organized while ensuring all time logs and project records are submitted accurately.
• Ensure all tasks are completed on time and within the allocated budget to support project success.

Professional Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical assembly or a closely related field.
• Formal technical training or a certification focused on electrical assembly.
• Advanced proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings.
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical components, cable routing techniques, and industry-standard color coding.
• Hands-on experience with component installation, soldering techniques, and specialized assembly tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude combined with a solid grasp of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical concepts.
• Proficiency in basic computer usage and effective workplace communication.

Physical Setting

You will be working on a manufacturing floor where you can expect typical machinery noise, the need to stand for long durations, and the requirement to lift or maneuver various materials and tools.
