Education
Graduation from a school of nursing that enables sitting for the NCLEX to become a licensed Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.

Licensure

• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License
• BLS
• ACLS required for the following departments:
  Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency and PCU at Livingston

Experience

• Minimum of 1-year of current ICU/PCU experience
• Graduation from accredited nursing program
• Effective January 1, 2013, all new hires must have a BSN or agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age-specific needs
• Interpersonal skills to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Critical thinking skills for nursing duties
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail in planning and delivering professional nursing care

Status: Contingent with Holiday and Weekend requirements
