Automotive ADAS Calibration Technician
Are you looking for a routine daily schedule and the opportunity to repair vehicles in the proper manner? Dashlight Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Calibration Technician to join our team in the growing ADAS calibration niche of the automotive repair industry.
Candidates should be willing to learn and grow within the future technology of the automotive industry, specifically in regards to the increased need for ADAS calibration on vehicles.
Responsibilities- Perform vehicle scanning and diagnostics.
- Utilize OEM and aftermarket scan tools.
- Use DVOM for electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Read and interpret wiring schematics and diagnostic trouble trees.
- Read and understand using a tape measure for target and calibration stand placement.
- Utilize Microsoft Windows and Google Documents for reporting and records.
- Complete Pre/Post Scanning and document completed repairs.
- Conduct static and dynamic calibrations in-house and mobile as required.
- Undertake test drives to verify calibration accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical repairs as needed.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and open to learning OEM and AM scan tools.
- Participate in OEM training as part of professional development.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in automotive repair, business management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years within the automotive repair or body shop industry preferred.
- Skills and
Competencies:- Strong knowledge of automotive body repair procedures, materials, and labor requirements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple estimates and repairs simultaneously.
- Proficiency in computer programs that diagnose automotive problems.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in both paperwork and repair analysis.
- Ability to stand, walk, and inspect vehicles for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs or more unassisted.
- Comfortable working in a body shop environment with exposure to loud noises, dust, and chemicals.
- Full-time position with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday and some Saturdays (as needed).
