Luma Pediatric Dental is a brand-new pediatric dental practice opening in April 2026 in Howell, NJ. We are building a warm, light‑filled, family‑centered environment where children feel safe and parents feel supported from the moment they walk through the door.

We are seeking a kind, detail‑oriented, and highly dependable Patient Coordinator to serve as the welcoming face and organizational anchor of our practice.

This is an opportunity to join as a founding team member and grow alongside a startup practice with a long‑term vision.

What We’re Looking For
  • Are naturally warm, friendly, and professional
  • Genuinely enjoy interacting with children and families
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Take pride in organization and accuracy
  • Are proactive and self‑motivated
  • Maintain calm and composure on busy days
  • Are looking for a long‑term home, not just a temporary job
Experience Preferred
  • Dental front desk experience strongly preferred
  • Experience verifying insurance benefits
  • Familiarity with PPO plans, claims submission, and payment posting
  • Understanding of treatment presentation and financial discussions
  • Comfort with scheduling efficiency and recall management
  • Experience with Dentrix (Ascend preferred, but not required)

We are seeking someone confident in insurance workflows and capable of helping build strong systems as we grow.

Responsibilities
  • Greeting and checking in patients warmly
  • Managing phone calls and scheduling
  • Verifying insurance benefits and explaining coverage clearly
  • Submitting and tracking insurance claims
  • Posting payments accurately
  • Presenting treatment plans and financial arrangements
  • Maintaining organized patient records
  • Supporting overall office flow and communication
Schedule & Growth
  • Part‑time to start as we build the practice
  • Anticipated start date:
Late March / Early April 2026
  • Opportunity to transition into full‑time as the practice expands
  • Long‑term growth opportunity for leadership as the practice scales
Compensation & Development
  • Competitive hourly pay: $22–$32 per hour, based on experience
  • Paid training prior to opening
  • Performance‑based raises
  • Future full‑time benefits potential as we expand

This is not just a front desk position — it is a leadership role in shaping the patient experience and operational foundation of a growing pediatric dental practice.

We are looking for someone who combines kindness with competence — someone who cares deeply about families while also valuing accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork.

If you are organized, compassionate, and excited to grow with a startup practice, we would love to meet you.
