CME Associates is seeking a motivated and skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will work on a variety of civil engineering projects, including site development, transportation, and municipal infrastructure.

• Project Design and Development – Assist in the design of roadways, stormwater systems, and site layouts; prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates under senior supervision; conduct site visits and field investigations.
• Technical Analysis and Problem Solving – Perform technical calculations and analyses; utilize engineering software for modeling and simulations; identify and propose solutions to engineering challenges.
• Regulatory Compliance – Ensure project designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations; assist in preparing and submitting permit applications; stay informed about regulatory changes.
• Collaboration and Communication – Work with project teams, including engineers, architects, and construction managers; communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies; prepare and present technical reports and project updates.
• Project Management Support – Assist senior engineers and project managers in coordinating schedules and budgets; monitor project progress and provide regular updates; contribute to the preparation of project proposals and bids.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Relevant coursework or internships in civil engineering projects is preferred.

• 0-5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably focusing on site development, transportation, or municipal infrastructure.
• Internship or co‑op experience in civil engineering is a plus.

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain EIT within 12 months.
• Commitment to pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil engineering design software.
• Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of GIS applications and data management.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry practices.
