Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hard‑working Infrared Crew Laborer to assist with asphalt pavement repair using infrared restoration equipment. This role involves preparing repair areas, operating infrared heating units, applying hot mix asphalt, and finishing patches to ensure smooth, high‑quality repairs. The ideal candidate is physically capable, safety‑minded, and willing to learn in a team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing pavement areas for infrared asphalt repair
- Operate or assist with the setup and movement of infrared heaters
- Remove damaged asphalt and blend in new hot mix for seamless repair
- Rake, lute, and tamp asphalt for a smooth finish
- Use compactors and rollers to achieve proper compaction
- Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and work areas
- Assist with traffic control setup and tear down as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Work under the direction of the Infrared Crew Foreman or Supervisor
- Perform other laborer duties to support the crew as needed

- Previous asphalt or paving experience preferred but not required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical labor outdoors in various weather
- Willingness to learn proper infrared repair techniques
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and small construction equipment
- Valid driver’s license preferred; CDL is a plus
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
- Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area
