As a full-time Assistant Store Manager
, you are passionate about providing the best shoe store experience for the whole family through customer engagement. You act as the store leader in the absence of the Store Manager. You are a people leader
, developing your ability to motivate a team to achieve sales targets and growth goals

You stay up to date on trends and support the education of the store team to do the same. • Inspire the Customer Connection: Inspire associates with integrity and drive, fostering a culture of caring and camaraderie focused on customer relationships, operational excellence, and flawless delivery. Infuse coaching moments for the selling behaviors behind our Customer Connection.
• Champion Talent Discovery: Seek out and network with exceptional external talent. Collaborate with the Store Manager to interview and hire individuals passionate about creating top-notch customer experiences driven by attentiveness and sales.
• Ace Retail Operations & Support Staffing Levels: Manage retail operational fundamentals from pricing to shipping processing and inventory. Support staffing levels set by the Store Manager considering availability, peak days, and seasonal hiring needs.
• Leverage Insights to Deliver Results: Take accountability for your goals and their impact on the location’s performance. Drive sales to achieve goals and, in partnership with the Store Manager, apply insights to continually improve results.
• Be a Culture Builder: Support a work environment where diversity and inclusivity are valued. Maintain a positive mindset and lead by example to uplift and support others, helping improve retention and performance.
• Be our Store Manager’s Right Hand: When the Store Manager is away, step into their role, develop your people leadership and store management skills, ensure compliance of all company programs through training and follow-up, and collaboratively develop internal talent.

• Has a High School Diploma/GED.
• Has at least 1 year of sales experience (retail sales preferred).
• Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Ability to lead, manage, motivate, and communicate positively with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to train, coach and develop associates to provide an engaging customer experience and execute operational tasks.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion in partnership with the Store Sales Manager, as needed.
• Strong cognitive skills, including problem solving, decision making, and financial analysis.
• Advanced working knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. from floor level to above shoulder height with proper technique.
