Job Title: Certified Color Consultant

Essential Function
:
The Certified Color Consultant is our steward to the industry, demonstrating our dominance in all things hair color. The Certified Color Consultant maximizes sales by creating increased customer retention and loyalty. The role will build lasting relationships with DIY enthusiasts and drive behaviors that grow brand awareness and hair color market share.

Provide an optimal customer experience to ensure the DIY enthusiast successfully achieves their hair color goals. Introduce every customer to the Hair Color category, provide color consultations, and utilize selling skills.

• Elevating Sally Beauty as the undisputed leader in hair color. Daily operational tasks, supporting the larger team, participating in loss prevention and safety practices.
• Brand:
  Provide optimal customer experience, create retention, utilize selling behaviors, company sales directives, and omni-channel. Ensure all transactions are complete and accurate to drive incremental sales. Deliver behaviors consistent with driving desired client survey scores and reviews. Determine customer color and care needs, offer professional advice and recommendations to ensure confidence and product fit. Assist the team with meeting/exceeding specific hair color sales goals, as outlined by the company.
  
  Generate cross-category sales by introducing new categories to each conversation, resulting in increased sales and profitability through brand awareness.
• Operations:
  Record all sales in POS, handle monetary transactions (sales, returns, exchanges) accurately and efficiently. Complete daily paperwork and reporting, make bank deposits when needed. Price merchandise, process back stock, assist with shipment processing and housekeeping duties, such as cleaning. Support with planograms as needed. May open/close store. Establish technical expertise (products, policies, programs). Complete all training programs, as directed. Continuous learner to stay current on trends.

• People:
  Work well with others to support customers and store needs, including good attendance. Collaborate with customers and co-workers regularly. Assist Store Manager with onboarding/training new associates. Mentor associates to elevate hair color knowledge. Advocate for diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
• Safety / Loss Prevention:
  Compliance with safety and loss prevention policies, inventory control procedures & hazardous material.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• 1+ year retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills with customers, co‑workers, and management.
• Ability to meet scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to execute product knowledge from training to support customer service.
• Ability to explain product labels.
• Can follow direction and perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
• Comprehensive knowledge of iPad and navigation of the internet and social media platforms.
• Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public.

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles. This includes safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc.
