SUMMARY:
Instructor needed for teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) night classes through the Hudson Adult Learning Center at Hudson High School. The instructor is responsible for teaching speaking, listening, and writing English skills. In-person instruction is required, but the ability to teach remotely through Google Meetmay also be necessary on snow days.
Classes hours are from 6:00 – 9:00 PM (report to site at 5:30), on Mondays and Wednesdays. Classes generally offered from September to June.
DESE/ACLS Grant-Funded Teacher Pay Rate: $37 per hour of instruction plus paid prep time
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Adhere to the curriculum of the Adult Learning Center program
- Provide instruction in speaking, listening, and writing English skills
- Comply with all school regulations and policies at all times
- Take attendance and document daily notes
- Ensure classroom and work is kept clean and orderly
- Uphold an orderly classroom environment and provide a positive learning experience
- Conduct instruction remotely via Zoom, if needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Experience with English Language Learners (ELLs) required
- DESE licensure or TESOL preferred
- Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (CORI), and fingerprints
