Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to be an integral part of our Engineering team onsite in Hudson, Massachusetts. They will work primarily with Mechanical Design, Ground Base Radome, Composite Engineering support.
Job Responsibilities- This position involves design tooling, support documentation for new product, and support accessory department for ground-based Radomes.
- We want a design/analysis engineer who is as comfortable driving a CAD model as they are getting their hands dirty on the production floor to solve real-world challenges.
- Visibility support for documentation and MRB/ECO support. There will be standard drawings for reference as guidelines.
- Follow direction from Engineer or Mechanical Designer for documentation on modeled parts.
- This will require dimensioning and tolerancing, as well as note structure on drawings. The term drawings will consist of, but may not be limited to, Bill Of Materials, Specifications, Detail Drawings, Assembly Drawings, Tooling Drawings, and Assembly instructions.
- May require taking dimensions on test panels, parts, and tooling on the production floor.
- Some experience in CREO and Solid Works.
- Annual Salary: $80,000 - $95,000.
- Laser Tracker Experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience in manufacturing, material, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Demonstrated familiarity with tooling concepts, material testing, reading and interpreting drawings, familiarity with CAD.
- Familiarity with rough sketches, plans, engineering instructions and technical manuals.
- Demonstrated familiarity with MS Office tools.
- Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with standard test equipment.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of standard operating procedures.
This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a "U.S. Person" as defined under ITAR and EAR.
