Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinistto set up and operate CNC milling machines (primarily Haas) to produce high‑precision aluminum components. This role involves machine setup, basic program edits, in‑process inspection, deburring, and maintaining production documentation. The ideal candidate has strong milling experience, excellent measurement skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, quality‑driven environment.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00AM–3:30PM
Requirements:
CNC Setup & Operation
- Create and modify CNC programs (training available)
- Operate machines to produce precision aluminum parts to tight tolerances.
- Set up CNC milling machines (Haas) according to work orders and specifications.
Inspection & Quality
- Deburr parts to meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate in‑process documentation.
- Perform in‑process checks and final inspections.
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the shop.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Qualifications/Must-Haves:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- 3–5 years of CNC machine setup experience.
- Milling experience required (Haas preferred)
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- All education levels will be considered; equivalent practical experience is fully acceptable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience machining aluminum.
- Experience with CNC program editing.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
