  • Position: Plastics Engineer (Plastic Injection Molding)
  • Location: Hudson, MA (on‑site)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (based on business needs)
  • Compensation: $110K - $130K (Dependent on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Plastics Engineer to take a lead role in driving process development, technical problem‑solving, and new program success within our injection molding operations.

This is a senior, high‑impact position where you will own complex projects from concept through production—working directly with customers, tooling partners, and internal teams to deliver optimized, production‑ready solutions. Your expertise will directly influence quality, efficiency, and the long‑term success of our manufacturing operations.

Essential Functions
  • Lead development and optimization of injection molding processes for complex, tight‑tolerance components
  • Own key customer programs—serving as the primary technical point of contact from design through production
  • Evaluate and approve tooling designs, modifications, and performance
  • Partner with tooling vendors and internal teams to ensure molds are production‑ready and performing at peak efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, improve cycle times, and increase overall process capability
  • Utilize Solid Works and CAD data to support product development, manufacturability, and quoting
  • Troubleshoot processing and tooling challenges with a hands‑on, solution‑driven approach
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with manufacturing, quality, and leadership to ensure seamless execution
Requirements What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of hands‑on experience in plastic injection molding engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering (Plastics or related field preferred)
  • Deep expertise in processing, tooling, materials, and mold design
  • Strong proficiency in Solid Works, AutoCAD, and ERP systems (IQMS preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead projects, solve complex problems, and drive measurable improvements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface directly with customers and vendors
