Responsible for setting up and operating precision lapping equipment to process ceramic, glass, and advanced material substrates to customer specifications for thickness, flatness, parallelism, and surface finish.

2nd Shift 2pm-12:30am Mon-Thurs (4 day work week)

Job Location:

Hudson, MA

What you will be doing:

Set up and operate lapping machines
Lap ceramic and advanced materials
Monitor material removal rates
Prepare and mix lapping slurries
Load and unload fixtures
Read travelers and work instructions
Measure thickness and dimensions
Inspect parts during processing
Condition lapping plates
Complete production documentation
Maintain equipment
Maintain a clean work area (5S)
Report equipment issues
Follow quality procedures
Follow all safety requirements
Participate in continuous improvement

What you will bring along:

High school diploma or GED
Manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to read work instructions
Use precision measuring tools
Basic math skills
Mechanical aptitude
Lift up to 40 lbs
Stand for extended periods
Preferred:
Lapping, polishing, or machining experience
Semiconductor manufacturing experience
Speed Fam or similar equipment experience
Ceramic or advanced materials manufacturing
SPC knowledge
Precision measurement experience
