Key Responsibilities
- Provide SMART customer service at all times through daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
- Build relationships with vendors by directing and checking merchandise resets to ensure they meet Lowe’s specifications.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising Service team and Manager to communicate project priorities, schedules, and needs (e.g., materials, supplies, time).
- Analyze metrics and provide feedback on project execution and in‑store service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
- Engage with customers when opportunities arise, including understanding their needs and assisting in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
- Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions, walking them through projects when necessary.
- Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers.
- Communicate information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
- Move or replace beams, grids, rotate stock, build products, and display products and support materials using power equipment (e.g., lifts, order pickers) per reset and/or project instructions.
- Identify damaged products, remove them from shelves, deliver to Return to Manufacturer (RTM) area, and sign off on items as defective.
- Verify buyback items and ensure they are prepped and ready for shipping.
- Identify and order replacements for damaged or missing signage, displays, and collateral per merchandising standards and planogram details.
- Confirm product pricing information is visible and clear; resolve or replace missing pricing labels.
- Update/validate way finding and product location signage and maintain digital records of this information throughout the store.
- Ensure cross merchandise, side stack products, j‑hooks, and gravity‑feed bins are placed appropriately to drive add‑on sales.
- Work with store leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale.
- Sort products in bins, drawers, and boxes so they are in the proper location.
- Merchandise plants to plantogram, price, color block, and place plants as they arrive; fill plant racks onto plant tables per plantogram to grand‑opening ready standards.
- Perform completion of merchandise reset, service, and maintenance tasks, including recording details and uploading photographs to confirm servicing completion.
- Ensure all reset displays are safe, functional, and repaired or replaced as needed.
- Repair or seal damaged packaging and boxes, including peg‑hook items.
- Remove all trash, move cardboard boxes to the bailer, and relocate plastic wrap and other debris to the compactor.
- Replace light bulbs and notify the appropriate contact when additional maintenance issues are noted (lights out, painting, etc.).
- Detect signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection.
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs (e.g., Zone Recovery) to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment, conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates.
- Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to regular job duties, including top‑stock safety, reinstalling safety cables, use of aisle blockers, tether lines on power equipment, spotters, and safety devices.
- Operate store equipment as needed for the specific role (e.g., Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copiers, fax machines, computers, CCTV surveillance system, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutters, compacter baler).
- Maintain point‑of‑sale signage, including bin and beam label stock; ensure all bin locators are placed and price changes are activated.
- Audit and update pricing labels inside and outside the store to ensure accuracy.
- Follow state‑specific guidelines on price changes (Pricing Policy SF‑06).
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED (General Studies) or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
