Position Summary

What you'll do- Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and inventory levels.
- Provide direction and guidance to Associates on proper customer/member service approaches and techniques to resolve complaints and issues within company guidelines and standards.
- Participate in community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as good community members.
- Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, and overseeing safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews.
- Develop and implement action plans to improve performance and provide guidance on executing company programs and strategic initiatives.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for Associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
- Ensure the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating members/customers, selecting products based on member/customer needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining optical equipment.
- Uphold the company's Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing company policies and procedures, and suggesting resolutions.
- Coordinate and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
- Build accountability, measure progress in achieving results, identify and address improvement opportunities, demonstrate adaptability, and promote continuous learning.
- Respect the individual by building high-performing teams, embracing diversity, creating a supportive workplace, and providing opportunities for all Associates to thrive.

- Strive for excellence by displaying curiosity, taking calculated risks, demonstrating resilience, and encouraging learning from mistakes.
- Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience OR 2 years' general work experience including 1 year's optical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and/or rules.
- Experience supervising Associates.

- Hourly wage range: $38.50 - $50.00 (actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage).
