Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and act as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
- Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
- Part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits including medical, dental, vision, and other coverage.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours are between 4 and 10 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required.
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for reporting, feedback, and surveys. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
- Holiday support: Work during the lead‑up to and following holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Additional days and extended hours may be required, including holidays and weekends.
- Department resets: Participate in installations, building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Notify two weeks in advance for remodel assignments. Work may occur in evenings or on weekends.
- One Team Vision: Support other merchandisers and team members as needed across territories.
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday, and may need to climb stairs and ladders.
BasicQualifications
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Capability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency with a digital hand‑held device.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores.
