- Test procedure creation experience
- Design and develop RF systems and components for defense and aerospace applications, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, and frequency converters.
- Integrate RF systems into larger defense and aerospace platforms such as aircraft, satellites, unmanned vehicles, or ground‑based systems.
- Conduct testing and evaluation of antennas and RF systems to ensure compliance with performance specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to RF systems, including signal interference, noise, power limitations, and performance optimization.
- Conduct frequency planning and management activities to ensure efficient utilization of RF spectrum resources.
- Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications, test plans, reports, and design documentation, to support development, manufacturing, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful integration of antennas.
- Stay updated with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to RF engineering in the defense and aerospace sector.
- Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees and specialized certifications are advantageous. - RF Design Tools:
Proficiency in using RF design and simulation tools such as MATLAB, ADS (Advanced Design System), CST Microwave Studio, or similar software. - RF Systems and Components:
Strong understanding of antenna theory. Experience with antenna test ranges and short‑field antenna testing. - Testing and Measurement Equipment:
Experience with antenna/RF testing and measurement equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes. - Analytical
Skills:
Ability to analyze complex RF system performance issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose effective solutions. - Communication and
Collaboration:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
