Senior R&D Engineer

INTEGRA Biosciences, a leader in liquid handling solutions for the medical diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotech, and food industries, is looking for a Senior R&D Engineer to join our growing team. You will lead the development, manufacturing, and support of innovative plastic injection molded consumables, components, and systems that help scientists achieve breakthrough results every day.

• Lead new product development and product sustainment initiatives.
• Design, evaluate, and improve products and manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical leadership within the engineering team.
• Plan and execute pilot builds and product validation testing.
• Support product transfer and launch into manufacturing.
• Develop and verify product designs using CAD, prototyping, and testing.
• Support products throughout their full lifecycle.
• Create manufacturing documentation, inspection plans, and training materials.
• Drive first article inspections and production readiness activities.
• Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful product outcomes.
• Partner with external vendors and suppliers to support development efforts.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, plastics engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in plastic component or device manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience designing and developing injection molded products.
• Proven success leading component and system design projects from concept to launch.
• Experience planning and executing verification and validation (V&V) testing.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and project leadership skills.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling, preferably Solid Works.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Self‑starter with an innovative and results‑driven mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working across cross‑functional teams.
• Comfortable communicating technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
