Supervisor of Systems Planning - Civil Engineer VI

Salary: $37.22/hour - $51.07/hour. Full-time position. Position #20416.
Responsibilities- Oversee the activities between the Department and the nine regional planning agencies to ensure a coordinated statewide transportation planning effort as mandated under federal regulations.
- Administer the collection and analysis of statewide data to inform the development of the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), Ten Year Plan, Long Range Transportation Plan and related planning efforts and documents.
- Oversee the activities of the GIS Section of the Bureau with other bureaus that feed data to and from GIS (pavement, bridge, traffic, operations data, etc.).
- Coordinate information sharing with other bureaus and work groups including the Asset Management, Performance and Strategies (AMPS) Workgroup, the Commissioner’s office, and others relying on GIS-produced information.
- Advise the Bureau Administrator, Commissioners, and Directors on matters establishing department and division policy and programs, through special assignments and committee work.
- Represent the Department at public meetings, hearings, and discussions with public officials, private individuals, and other agencies to present, receive, and evaluate information related to planning and project efforts.
- Oversee the development of the State’s Ten Year Transportation Plan, STIP, Long Range Transportation Plan, and other related planning efforts and documents as mandated under state and federal regulations.
- Coordinate and review planning studies conducted by consultants and regional planning agencies.
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of 11 years of education and experience after high school, with a concentration in civil engineering and business administration.
License/Certification:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license with designation in Civil or Civil Highway Engineering.
- Valid driver’s license.
Other Requirements: Applicant’s Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet the minimum standards established by the hiring agency.

After-Hire Requirements: Must possess a NH Professional Engineer license within 12 months of hire.
