Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour DOE
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter/Detailer to join a growing manufacturing organization specializing in heavy civil and infrastructure products. This role is responsible for creating detailed structural drawings, fabrication details, and layout plans for a variety of engineered concrete products used in commercial, municipal, and transportation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed structural and civil layout drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop shop drawings and production details for precast concrete and infrastructure-related products.
- Create detailed drawings for structures including: box culverts, rigid frame structures, bridge components, arch bridge footings, wingwalls, sound walls, utility vaults, deck slabs, manholes, and custom-engineered concrete products.
- Review engineering specifications and project requirements to ensure drawing accuracy.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, and project management teams.
- Revise drawings based on customer requirements, engineering changes, and field conditions.
- Maintain drawing records and project documentation.
- Assist with design improvements and drafting standards as needed.
Minimum 2+ years of AutoCAD drafting/detailing experience. Experience preparing structural, civil, or construction-related drawings. Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction documents. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience working with concrete products, construction materials, or infrastructure projects is highly preferred. Knowledge of 3D modeling software is a plus but not required. Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design Technology, or related field preferred.
