Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor Supervisor Needed!
The Counselor Supervisor will supervise the Counselors and Counselor Interns who provide treatment and casework services to patients in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and with Bay Mark’s policies and procedures. The counselor supervisor will ensure timely documentation of patient services based on plan of care, identify other physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs for assigned patients, and manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the company’s budget.
Responsibilities- Direct and supervise all intake operations.
- Review intake assessments for quality.
- Provide direct supervision to clinicians and assist in the ongoing supervision of staff through meetings, in‑service trainings, guest speakers, and literature reviews.
- Manage all counseling staff, facilitate performance improvement discussions, documentation, and follow‑up.
- Provide guidance and support to counselors needing to obtain licensure and/or certification.
- Conduct clinical supervision.
- Conduct employment interviews with the Clinical Manager and Practice Manager.
- Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor.
- Master’s degree (MLADC) or a LADC with an LCS.
- Prior supervisory experience; self‑motivated and directed.
- Positive, compassionate attitude toward chemically dependent patients and previous experience working with this population.
- Satisfactory criminal background and drug screen.
