Systems Administrator

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to implement, maintain, and support our enterprise IT infrastructure consisting of Windows and Linux systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing servers, identity services, virtualization platforms, endpoint systems, and security controls while demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve operational efficiency. The Systems Administrator will play a key role in ensuring system availability, performance, security, and reliability while collaborating with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to deliver effective technology solutions.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Ability to obtain a US government secret clearance
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain within 6 months for hire
• 7 or more years of relevant System Administration experience and a minimum of a high school diploma
• Strong experience supporting enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows troubleshooting.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Horizon.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Experience administering Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, or similar platforms.
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms.
• Experience supporting regulated or highly available environments.

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
