Position Summary

The Manufacturing Associate in the VLS (Vertical Launch System) department performs a range of mechanical and labor functions in a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include setting up and operating various manufacturing equipment such as drills, sanders, hand power tools, and test equipment.

This role will work during the 3rd Shift. The position is part of a temporary shift established to support production needs, with an anticipated duration of up to twelve (12) months, subject to change based on business needs and project timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Setup and run various manufacturing equipment, including drills, sanders, hand power tools, and test equipment.
  • Work with paints, adhesives, solvents, and primers.
  • Perform visual quality inspections of parts.
  • Follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Work to a daily schedule to meet or exceed output targets.
  • Complete all internal departmental documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate well between departments, notifying leaders and engineers to problem‑solve issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machines.
  • Use appropriate PPE for the designated area.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Relevant work experience: 2+ years in manufacturing required.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Basic math, reading, writing, and computer skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and use of Microsoft Office.
  • Effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 40 lbs.
Conditions of Employment

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $20.25/hr to $27.50/hr
  • Additional shift rate differential added to base pay.
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program.
