About the Role:

As a part-time Registered Nurse Supervisor in our healthcare facility, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to residents. Your primary objective will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to promote health. This supervisory roll will oversee all healthcare staff on the 11 pm
-7 am shift. You will collaborate closely with our leadership team to ensure comprehensive care management, including direct resident care and education. This role demands vigilance in monitoring resident conditions, nursing assessments, and advocating for resident needs to optimize health outcomes. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute significantly to enhancing resident safety, comfort, and overall well-being within our environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the New York.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (associate or bachelor's degree in nursing).
  • Previous experience working in long-term care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proven experience in medical/surgical nursing or a related clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care principles, patient safety, and infection control standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Training or certification in wound care management.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct oversight of nursing staff on all units.
  • Provide direct resident care including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient health status.
  • Educate residents and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Perform wound care management and monitor healing progress.
  • Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor cardiac patients and respond to changes in condition promptly.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare team and during care planning.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
This position requires the ability to work every other weekend and some holidays.
