Staff Accountant
Salary: $60,000-$70,000
We are seeking a detail-driven accounting professional to support core financial operations and contribute to accurate, timely reporting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data, solving problems, and supporting business decisions through reliable accounting practices.
The Staff Accountant will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, assisting with reporting cycles, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with multiple departments while building strong technical and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily accounting activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and consistency
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in alignment with GAAP standards
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank and credit card statements
- Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review
- Contribute to audit preparation, tax documentation, and compliance requirements
- Work cross-functionally to support financial decision-making
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Prior experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role
- Strong proficiency in accounting systems such as Quick Books, SAP, or Xero
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- CPA track or certification progress is a plus
