Summary
This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining Alpha Technologies' enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity initiatives, and end‑user computing environment. The Systems Administrator will assist in administering Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Active Directory, networking, virtualization, endpoint management, telecommunications, and business‑critical applications. The role supports Alpha's IT modernization efforts, including infrastructure initiatives, cloud migrations, cybersecurity improvements, and technology standardization.
Responsibilities- Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Entra ).
- Support Azure cloud resources, identity management, Conditional Access, MFA, and security policies.
- Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server environments.
- Support Microsoft Intune for endpoint deployment, compliance, application management, and device lifecycle management.
- Assist with server infrastructure administration, including virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes.
- Participate in infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Support firewall infrastructure, VPN connectivity, security policies, and network troubleshooting.
- Assist in managing switching and wireless infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and implement redundancy, resiliency, and business continuity improvements.
- Participate in vulnerability remediation, patch management, endpoint security, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to potential threats, malware incidents, and suspicious activity.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for hardware, software, operating systems, mobile devices, and business applications.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows 11 desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Manage user onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and equipment assignments.
- Support conference room technologies.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge‑base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure and end‑user environments.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Experience supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
- Experience supporting Windows Server and Windows 11 environments.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, wireless, switching).
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices, patch management, and endpoint protection.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, or Meraki networking solutions.
- Experience with VMware, Nutanix, or other virtualization platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Voice and unified communications systems.

Must possess manual dexterity to operate computer keypads. Must be able to spend long stretches of time working at a computer screen.
Work EnvironmentWork is performed in an office environment with occasional trips through the warehouse that is clean, well lit, and heated but has heavy tow motor traffic and noise. The work is performed in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interaction with fellow employees and supervisors throughout the workday. Employee performance is monitored, and an acceptable quantity and quality of work is required.
