The Production Assembler position requires the assembly and packaging of mechanical and electrical assemblies and finished products. Mechanical products include wheel kits assembled using hand, power, and pneumatic tools. Electrical products include metal detectors and cables assembled using hand tools, soldering tools and computer-controlled testing equipment.

- Complete assembly of mechanical and electrical parts and assemblies
- Package finished goods and apply required labeling
- Follow written documentation including assembly procedures, drawings, bill of materials and other quality documents
- Meet standard process routing times (70% of duties)
- Complete in-process inspections and testing of assembled parts; identify non-conforming (defective) parts and follow quality procedures (10%)
- Complete modification of finished goods following written procedures (10%)
- Complete evaluation of finished products returned from customers following written procedures (10%)
- Assemble and solder cable and electrical assemblies
- On-the-job training provided for soldering and assembly of cable assemblies; once trained, proficient in cable assembly tasks

RequirementsRequired Qualifications
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED - Satisfactory background and drug test results
- Experience:
1-2 years manufacturing experience desired but not required

1-2 years manufacturing experience desired but not required - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to use hand, power and pneumatic tools
- Ability to follow written procedures, read and understand bill of materials and basic assembly drawings
- Basic understanding of personal computers running Microsoft Windows; ability to open files, read documents and email
- Ability to work independently or as a team member in a production environment and perform repetitive work
- Experience in operating powered lift trucks and soldering of wires and PCB assemblies
- Technical education or certification in electrical, computer or manufacturing areas is desired
