Tooling Technician

• Assemble, build, and repair tools for production equipment.
• Operate tool room equipment including lathes, CNC mills, grinders, presses, and hand tools, to spot, grind, and finish hardened tools.
• Perform tooling repairs, preventative maintenance, and prepare tooling to minimize downtime and support OEE.
• Provide complete tool sets for setups, inspect incoming tools, manage tool inventory, and review tools that have reached end of life.
• Support operators and engineering on the production floor by troubleshooting tooling issues and participating in continuous improvement efforts.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in tool and die making or machining.
• Background in automotive or manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability to operate tool room machinery.
• Ability to collaborate with operators, setup personnel, engineering, and quality teams.

The ideal candidate will also have any or all of the following preferred experience and skills:

• Previous fastener industry experience.
• Experience working with tooling for high-volume production environments.

• Extremely stable facility with a long history — operating since 1977.
