Job Description

This role will be performed in our Hudson, OH location.

POSITION SUMMARY: Plans, lays out and performs complex arc and acetylene welding on production parts following well-established operating practices for mechanical strength. Welds in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. May also perform stelliting work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 yrs. basic welding experience
• Knowledge of SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW & SAW
• Able to safely and competently operate MIG, TIG, Carbon Arc, Submerged Arc, oxyacetylene, pre-heat to temperatures up to 600°ree;
  
  F
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to use hand tools
• Able to read and understand blueprints
• Able to work with large parts and operate overhead crane and tow motor
• Able to wear safety equipment (i.e. respirator, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, apron etc.)
• Able to work at heights above ground level
• Ability to learn new processes and techniques
• Experience with a Welding Robot a plus

• Set up equipment to weld parts according to specific welding procedures
• Use overhead crane to lift and move parts
• Operate towmotor to transfer parts within plant
• Maintain a clean work area
