SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs major and minor interior and exterior repairs including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, basic trouble shooting/ diagnosis and repair on all facility mechanical systems. Carpentry and flooring installation and repairs. Works with all members of the department and assists and instructs Maintenance Mechanic I level and Maintenance Helper. Performs "On-call" duties as scheduled and responds to emergency situations as required.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
Good communication skills. Good hands on people skills. Independent thinker Able to guide and teach less experienced staff.
EDUCATIONHigh school or equivalent. A completion of trade certification a plus.
EXPERIENCE- + 5 yrs. Building maintenance experience or equivalent in multiple trades with a trade certification Trade school or vocational school in fields a plus.
- Certification in one or more trades required
-OR- +10 years experience in general building maintenance and repair
Must be generally skilled in all trades associated with building upkeep and routine preventive maintenance.
