Location: Hudson, WI (Onsite located in Wisconsin, only local candidates of Minnesota or Wisconsin will be eligible)

We are partnering with a growing organization to add a Cash Applications Specialist to their accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-driven work, thrives in a high-volume environment, and takes pride in keeping customer accounts accurate and up to date.

This position will play a key role in applying and reconciling incoming payments while partnering closely with AR, collections, and the broader accounting team to resolve discrepancies and keep the cash cycle moving smoothly.

What you’ll be doing

  • Apply customer payments via ACH, wire, lockbox, and checks
  • Research and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, and discrepancies
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts and support bank reconciliations
  • Partner with AR and collections teams to resolve payment issues
  • Maintain accurate records and support AR aging and reporting
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to cash and AR
  • Support process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency

What they’re looking for

  • 1–3+ years of cash applications or AR experience
  • Experience working with high-volume transactions
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in ERP systems (Net Suite, SAP, Dynamics, Sage, or similar)
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
