Position Overview
We are seeking a Civil Engineering E.I.T. to join our Hudson office. This position provides hands-on experience in civil engineering design, construction plan preparation, and field support for a variety of land development and municipal infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer seeking direct project exposure, technical development, and mentorship while working on projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities- Assist in preparation of construction plans, specifications, and technical reports
- Support civil design for land development and municipal infrastructure projects
- Perform design calculations and engineering analysis under supervision
- Assist with grading, drainage, and erosion control design
- Support stormwater management system design and analysis
- Assist with municipal sewer and water system design
- Prepare plan sets and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Perform on-site construction observations and field reviews
- Review construction plans for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and project staff
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification or ability to obtain
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed
Preferred:
- Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering or land development
- Exposure to grading, drainage, or stormwater design
- Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
