Position: Civil Engineering PE (Stormwater & Water Resources) - Land Development

Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil Engineering E.I.T. to join our Hudson office. This position provides hands-on experience in civil engineering design, construction plan preparation, and field support for a variety of land development and municipal infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer seeking direct project exposure, technical development, and mentorship while working on projects from concept through construction.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparation of construction plans, specifications, and technical reports
  • Support civil design for land development and municipal infrastructure projects
  • Perform design calculations and engineering analysis under supervision
  • Assist with grading, drainage, and erosion control design
  • Support stormwater management system design and analysis
  • Assist with municipal sewer and water system design
  • Prepare plan sets and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform on-site construction observations and field reviews
  • Review construction plans for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and project staff
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification or ability to obtain
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed

Preferred:

  • Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering or land development
  • Exposure to grading, drainage, or stormwater design
  • Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
