Job Overview
Phillips Medisize, a Molex company, is seeking a Regional New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer to support NPI project launches at our MPS WI Medical sites in Menomonie (PMM), New Richmond (PMNR) and Hudson (PMSCM). The role focuses on ensuring optimal engineering of projects to meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
Location & Work Hours- Home base:
Menomonie, WI. - Core hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Travel:
Expected between Menomonie, New Richmond, and Hudson; mileage reimbursed per Molex policy. Additional travel to global vendor sites during equipment acquisition may be up to 20% of time.
- Act as liaison among project engineering, manufacturing, and customers for implementation of programs, both molding and secondary operations.
- Provide technical support and solutions to manufacturing processes, manage yield and throughput, and drive cost reduction and quality improvements.
- Coordinate, direct, and lead engineering efforts to ensure optimal project engineering across PMM, PMNR, and PMSCM.
- Interface with customers regularly to resolve issues and facilitate communication between customers, sales, engineering, outside vendors, and multi‑divisional groups.
- Maintain cost control and profitability through interaction with accounting, sales, and customers.
- Implement technical solutions to meet customer and company cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
- Support facility and manufacturing safety, environmental, and ergonomics initiatives.
- Create and monitor project timelines to ensure timely completion.
- Proactively identify safety concerns and adhere to safety culture guidelines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field with at least 5 years of related manufacturing experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or medical device manufacturing setting.
- Strong technical skills in injection molding tooling, materials, manufacturing, quality, and product design.
- Proficiency with CAD for assessing tooling, equipment, and part designs.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple large‑scale projects.
- Experience with quote design, tools/equipment, and parts.
- Track record of meeting company financial goals and identifying future account needs.
