New Product Introduction Process Engineering Supervisor

Molex, LLC is seeking a New Product Introduction (NPI) Process Engineering Supervisor to join our team in Hudson, WI. You may not see our name on the shelves, but our electronic solutions are inside the products you use every day. In this role you will be focused on leading the NPI Process Engineering team responsible for developing, validating, launching, and transferring manufacturing processes for new products. Ensure safe, efficient, scalable, and repeatable manufacturing processes while supporting business growth, quality objectives, and cost targets. Collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Automation, and global manufacturing sites to achieve flawless product launches.

What You Will Do

  • Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product launches.
  • Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturability), PFMEA, process flow development, and production readiness reviews.
  • Ensure tooling, equipment, work instructions, training materials, and quality plans are completed prior to launch.
  • Support Qualification builds, Pilot runs, Engineering Verification Tests, Design Verification Tests, and production validation activities
  • Develop robust manufacturing processes from prototype through production.
  • Define process parameters, control plans, and operating windows.
  • Lead Measurement System Analysis, Gage R&R, capability studies, DOE, and process validation activities.
  • Ensure processes meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Support safe launch, ramp-up, and production stabilization.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Monitor yield, scrap, throughput, cycle time, and productivity metrics.
  • Ensure effective handoff from NPI to sustaining manufacturing teams.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Improve quality, cost, productivity, and capacity.
  • Develop business cases and implementation plans for capital projects.
  • Partner with Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and global manufacturing teams.
  • Drive risk mitigation activities and launch readiness reviews.
  • Support product transfers to high-volume manufacturing locations.
  • Support customer, internal, and industry audits.
  • Drive root cause analysis and CAPA activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, EH&S, and quality management system requirements

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related field.
  • 4+ years working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with implementation of new manufacturing methods including training others to execute a process.
  • Experience with implementation of DFMEA, PFMEA & DFM documentation
  • Experience working with automated systems to identify opportunities and/or program new functions to improve process efficiency.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 2+ years of experience within fiber optic industry:
    Installation, testing, troubleshooting, or manufacturing.
  • Experience in developing robust manufacturing processes from prototype through full production transfers, ensuring scalability and quality.
  • Strong expertise in automation technologies, including the use of robots and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate risks by implementing effective process controls to meet stringent quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and report writing to drive continuous process improvements and support decision-making.
