Our client, a leading manufacturer of medical devices and regulated consumer products, is seeking a Costing Financial Analyst to support their North American operations. This role plays a key part in evaluating manufacturing costs, improving financial processes, and supporting data-driven decision‑making across highly regulated production environments. The position offers a diverse workload, broad cross‑functional exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative medical technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain costing master data within SAP to accurately reflect manufacturing and procurement costs
- Support ongoing cost accounting activities, reporting, and analysis
- Participate in annual overhead and labor rate development
- Conduct program cost study analyses to ensure accurate standard costs
- Provide KPI analysis to help plant teams identify root causes of manufacturing variances
- Use standard costing to support financial and operational planning, including labor and capacity planning
- Participate in analysis and project work across multiple organizational levels
- Partner with cost estimating teams to calculate costs for new business opportunities
Required
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
- Experience in an accounting or finance role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Preferred
- Experience working with an ERP system (SAP preferred)
- Experience presenting to groups and communicating across organizational levels
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI or Tableau
