Job Description
Team members are assigned a primary role on the patient access team and may perform check-in, registration and scheduling functions, as well as address inquires via telephone, email, or fax. The care Model Process (CMP) guidelines are to be utilized and followed for all workflows.
- Answer incoming calls in queue and support department internal lines
- Review and understand individual and team measures that support service goals.
- Direct emergency calls in an appropriate manner according to department guidelines
- Greet and direct patients to appropriate patient care areas
- Complete necessary paperwork to support the patient visit
- Complete the closing process for collection of payments and co-pays
- Conduct patient reminder calls or prepares written notification for scheduled appointments
- Establishes and maintains department files and providers schedules
- Promote and maintain good patient relations and confidentiality

Essential Duties- Answer incoming calls in queue and support department internal lines

- Complete the closing process for collection of payments and co-pays

- 6 months related experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years in customer service, working in a hospital, or medical clinic setting or graduate of a formal training program in medical reception or customer service.
- Some medical background preferred.
- Two-year degree in related studies preferred
