About the Practice:

Calming Currents Psychiatry is a nurse practitioner-owned, private, insurance-based outpatient mental health clinic located in Hudson, Wisconsin. We provide care to individuals navigating a range of mental health and substance use challenges. Our practice emphasizes a compassionate, evidence-based approach to treatment in a welcoming, patient-centered environment.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a fully licensed Therapist/Mental Health Professional to join our team to provide psychotherapy services in a hybrid model based out of our office in Hudson, WI. This individual will ideally have experience and interest in working with adolescents and adults, with a priority referral stream of patients receiving psychiatric/mental health care within our clinic. This is a 1099 contractor position with a percentage split reimbursement.

We are looking for someone to work 2-4 days per week, with a combination of in-person and telehealth care.

Responsibilities:

• Develop therapeutic treatment plans
• Provide psychotherapy to individuals/couples/families based on provider skillset and preferences

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a behavioral health field
• Fully Independent Licensure in Wisconsin and/or Minnesota as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or other appropriate licensure to provide psychotherapy without supervision
• Ability to carry own malpractice insurance
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office computer software/technology
• Proficiency in documenting visit notes in a timely manner
• Ability to complete and pass a criminal background check

Additional Nice-To-Have Qualifications:

• Expertise or certification in trauma-focused modalities and/or dialectical behavioral therapy
• Experience providing group therapy/interest in potentially co-leading a group in the future
