Camp St. Croix in Hudson, WI is seeking a Camp Property Manager II. Located on 400 acres, Camp St. Croix has approximately 50 buildings.

This role manages maintenance and custodial staff. Additionally, they oversee facility & grounds operations as they relate to vehicles, equipment, and buildings to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and standards. This role frequently works with outside contractors on projects as needed. They also perform hands‑on tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, and groundskeeping as needed.

As a member of the camp leadership team, the Camp Property Manager II reports to the Executive Director to support strategic planning, budget management, and work alongside staff leaders for the following programs:

  • Overnight Camp
  • Day Camp
  • Educational Farm
  • Little Seeds Nature Preschool
  • Fall/Winter/Spring Programs (retreats, school groups, weddings, etc.)
  • Offsite Day Camp Support (seasonal set‑up and takedown of Day Camp Heritage & Spring Lake)

This position offers a starting salary rate of $65,000 along with excellent benefits, a free Y family membership, and program discounts. We take into consideration an individual’s background and experience in determining salary; therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The anticipated start date is March 30, 2026, with flexibility to accommodate the selected candidate’s availability.

The starting salary range for this position starts at $65,000. The compensation package includes a wide range of other benefits and earned time off that vary depending on part‑time or full‑time status.

Essential Functions
  • Supervise Camp Caretaker and facility teams at assigned locations.
  • Work with District Camp Property Manager to organize and carry out priorities for each facility assigned.
  • Oversee the facility operations for all assigned locations.
  • Supervise all custodial and maintenance functions.
  • Supervise the maintenance of all owned and rented vehicles and watercraft.
  • Work with the association to ensure all annual permits and licenses for vehicles and equipment are maintained.
  • Supervise and manage workload of maintenance and custodial staff to ensure quality operation of the facility and land adhering to the completion of priorities.
  • Manage and maintain all waterfront equipment such as docks, aquatic platforms, and beach areas.
  • Manage the preventative maintenance of the camp to ensure protection and longevity of the property and facility assets.
  • Develop and manage annual plans, priorities, and budgets for facility operation and maintenance.
  • Plan for short‑ and long‑range building and property needs, execution of maintenance needs, building safety programs, etc. specific to each location.
  • Work with the Executive Director and/or District Property Manager in developing and prioritizing facility planning needs, including securing bids from contractors, and managing projects.
  • Work hands on in many varied facility maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, and to identify when a professional is required or more efficient.
  • Serve as a task supervisor of camp program staff on property projects as needed.
  • Work with Executive Director and/or District Property Manager, and maintenance team to manage the condition and repair of camp program equipment including the installation, take down and storage of seasonal equipment.
  • Establish and implement annual goals and manage budget.
  • Participate as part of the Camp Leadership Team in setting organizational direction and priorities.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Camp Caretakers and/or Maintenance staff directly and other facility team members where needed.
  • Assist with providing staff input to the Community Board, alumni, and volunteer development, where and when possible.
  • Organize and manage volunteer involvement in facility projects which enhance overall goals.
  • Serve as staff to the Building and Property Committee as needed.
  • Manage all billing and invoices related to property and facilities.
  • Evaluate and manage risk regarding properties, vehicles, and buildings.
