Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Job Summary
The Material Handler will be responsible for managing the flow of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse and production areas.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and inspect incoming materials and verify quantities against purchase orders.
- Safely and efficiently load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and loading docks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Ensure materials are stored in designated locations and organized for easy access.
- Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
