• Experience:
  
  3 to 4 years of hands‑on experience in a precision job shop or metal fabrication shop.
• Trade School is a plus.
• Machining
  
  Skills:
  
  Demonstrated proficiency in full set‑up and operation on both Vertical Mills and Horizontal Mills.
• Inspection Tools:
  Advanced proficiency with standard precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, indicators, depth gauges).
• Blueprint Reading:
  Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Math & Problem Solving:
  Solid shop math skills and strong mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Programming Knowledge:
  Proficiency in reading and editing G&M Code at the control.
• Familiarity/experience using Mastercam or Fusion 360.
• Physical & Safety:
  Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Set‑Up & Operation:
  Perform full set‑up, fixture installation, tool loading, work offset registration, and operation on Vertical and Horizontal CNC Mills.
• Programming & G‑Code:
  Read, interpret, and perform at‑machine edits to G&M Code programs; interface with Mastercam or Fusion 360 files as needed.
• Quality & Blueprint Reading:
  Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and GD&T specs; verify part accuracy using precision measuring tools (micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, calipers).
• Part Fabrication:
  Load raw materials, execute first‑article inspections, monitor tool wear, and adjust tool offsets to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.
• Shop Safety & Maintenance:
  Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
