CNC Horizontal Lathe Set up Operator

United Gear & Assembly is seeking a CNC Horizontal Lathe Set Up Operator to support precision component production for advanced technology solutions. You will set up and operate CNC horizontal lathes, interpret blueprints and G-code, select tooling, and verify parts using precision instruments. Working in a collaborative, inclusive environment, you'll help optimize processes, maintain tight tolerances, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC horizontal lathes to produce precision components to specification
• Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and G-code to configure machines correctly
• Select, install, and adjust tooling, offsets, and fixtures for efficient production
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to maintain tight tolerances
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and make minor adjustments as needed
• Follow safety, quality, and 5

• Collaborate with engineers and team members to improve processes and reduce scrap
• Document production data, inspections, and any nonconformances accurately
